You can use / distribute Elf or Elf 3D as you like, provided that they are NOT part of any commercial project, and appropriate credits are given under any kind of distribution.

Elf v1.xx Configuration: Elf [-d draw value] [-r resign value] [-b on] Elf -d 300 -r 700 -b on In this example, engine offers a draw once her evaluation reaches -3.00 and resigns when it reaches -7.00. The parameter b tells her to use her opening book. By default, she neither resigns nor offers a draw and she plays without her opening book. Elf 3D's control keys:
KNOWN BUGS Elf v1.30 Engine: No known bugs Elf v1.21 Engine: She doesn't accept quit command between xboard and protover commands. She doesn't recognize pawn to rook promotion made by the opponent. Elf 3D GUI contains Elf Chess Engine and Elf opening book as well. Elf Chess contains Elf 3D GUI and Arena.
